OBITUARY:

Maxine Gamble was born on May 10, 1959 in Tchula, MS. She was the eleventh child born to Almeta and John Broadnax. Maxine accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of The Rock of Ages Church of God in Christ in Tchula, MS under the leadership of Pastor Gary Edwards, She served there until her health failed.

In April 1982, she married the late Johnny Gamble which ended in divorce several years with two children.

Maxine was a devoted mother, daughter, sister and aunt. She enjoyed watching tv, shopping, talking, traveling and fishing.

Maxine was called to eternal rest on May 24, 2023. She leaves to cherish her memory 5 children, Derontrick Thurmond of Tchula, MS; Denerial Thurmond of Tchula, MS; Shavanna Gamble(McCoy) of Tchula, MS; Terrica Gamble of Horn Lake, MS; Deonta Gamble(Diamonta) of Dallas, TX. She also leaves to cherish siblings, Louis Thurmond Jr(who preceded her in death)of Tchula, MS; Roosevelt(who preceded her in death)St Louis, MO; Claudine Wilson of Tchula, MS; Willie Dee Thurmond(preceded her in death) of Tchula, MS; Johnnie Willis Thurmond of Chicago, IL; Annie Clark of Tchula, MS; Harry Thurmond of Tchula, MS; Robert Thurmond of Tchula, MS; Tilmon Thurmond of New Orleans, LA; Mary Broadnax of Milwaukee, WI; Christine Broadnax of Southaven, MS; John Broadnax Jr. of Tchula, MS; Sylvia Taylor of Southaven, MS. She also leaves three grandchildren Kevon Wilson, McCoy Woodley Jr. and Kamilyah Gamble and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
