Mother Clara M. Johnson (80) passed on Monday, May 22nd, 2023, at McLeod Medical Center in Dillon, SC.

The family is receiving friends at 807 Lupo Road, Lake View, SC 29563.

Viewing of Mother Clara M. Johnson will be Thursday, May 25th, 2023, from 3:00PM-6:00PM. (Riverdale)

Funeral Service for Mother Clara M. Johnson will be Friday, May 26th, 2023, at Samuel Bartell Memorial Chapel at 11:00AM. (Riverdale)

Burial will follow at Heritage Rest Family Cemetery.

Mother Clara M. Johnson obituary reads as follows:

Clara Johnson was born to the late Shug and Alberta Kelly on February 8th, 1943. On May 22nd, 2023, at 3:56PM she entered eternal life at McLeod Medical Hospital in Dillon, SC.

She was preceded in death by a daughter Sharon Denise Johnson and a son Raymond Cedric Johnson, her parents and eleven of her sisters and brothers.

Clara joined Zion Hill AME and was actively praising God at home due to failing vision.

Clara was joined in holy matrimony to the late Raymond Johnson on January 6th, 1961. To this union seven children were born. She leaves to cherish memories: Billy (Deloris) Johnson of the home, Eugene Johnson of Lake View, SC. Barbara (Anderson) Reaves of the home. Wanda (Gregory) Smiling of Dillon, SC, Carol Whittington of Fairmont, NC. One sister, one brother, one brother-in-law, one sister-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren and other relatives and friends, a son she did not give birth to Dexter “Bo” Kelly.
