Clyde Perteet was born on May 7, 1934 to the late Dock and Mariah Perteet in Sallis, MS. He peacefully departed this life May 16, 2023, at home where he had wished.
Clyde confessed his love for Christ at an early age. In the later years of life, he served as a Deacon of Jericho M.B. Church. During the time, he also served as a Manager for the Five Stars of Sallis. He also served many years as a Master Mason.
Clyde worked many years in construction. Many of those years were served as a Foreman for traveling crews for the companies of MP&L, Deviney and Magnolia Tree Company.
In October 1969, he was united in holy matrimony to the late Lillie B. Perteet. To this union, 1 child, Lydia Mariah, was born. He later united in holy matrimony to the late Winne Bridgeman. This union created our current blended family with Annie, Kaye and Joseph.
Clyde is preceded in death by his parents: Dock and Mariah Perteet. His stepmother, Mildred Perteet. His siblings: William, James, Dock, Johnnie George, and Lillie and Mary Buchanon all of Chicago, IL. Childrens: Michael Graham, Agvane Eubanks, and Troy Graham of Somerville, TN. Dorothy Eubanks of Sallis, MS. Grandson: Sydneca Pirtle of Bartlett, TN.
Clyde leaves to cherish his memories: one sister, Josephine Pierce. Four sons: Clyde (Sylvia) Graham of Cordova, TN, Tony Williams of Jackson, MS, Lew Brown of Milwaukee, WI and Joseph Bridgeman of Brandon, MS. Seven daughters: Vernita Graham & Candice Humphreys of Somerville, TN. Temika (Paul) Scott of Plano, IL. Annie Williams & Kaye Bridgeman of Canton, MS. Lydia (Terrell) Sanford of Courtland, MS. Lillie (David) Newell of Sallis, MS. Two daughters-in-law: Lavanderious Owens & Stephanie Graham. 34 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren & 8 great-great grandchildren & a host of nieces, nephews, cousins & family friends.
