Obituary For Jeannie E. Fields

Mrs. Jeannie Elizabeth Fields 69, of Lexington, GA was born on August 16, 1953 and passed away peacefully on May 14, 2023.

Jeannie was a hairdresser for most of her life but worked for several different businesses in Oglethorpe until she retired. She was a devoted Christian and loved everyone abundantly. She especially loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Fields, her mother, Velma Jean Payne, son Waymon Fields, and her sister Clint Wiley.

She is survived by her children: Michael Todd Page of Georgia, Benjamin Fields of Lexington, GA; brothers, Leonard Culbertson of Georgia, Johnny (Elaine) Payne of Madison County , GA; Cody Culbertson, Andy Culbertson and Joseph Culbertson of Georgia;
brother in law Bodie Wiley of Philomath, GA, countless "adopted" children, countless nieces and nephews, four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and all of her friends made over the years in Oglethorpe County.

Public visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 from 12:00PM - 7:00PM at the funeral home.

Graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at 11:00AM at Center United Methodist Church Cemetery in Stephens, GA.

Barrett Funeral Home Oglethorpe has been entrusted with final arrangements.

Mama you raised me and one of the best memories I have is of you and me making a little cassette tape of the nouns and verbs. You took me on trips and loved me when I didn't love my self. Your with papa now and he still has the TV too loud and your in the kitchen I love you so much -audrey
