Pamela W. Copeland
Pamela Willes Copeland, age 86, of Spartanburg, South Carolina, passed away May 14, 2023, in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Pam was born April 8, 1937, in Letchworth Garden City of Hertfordshire, England to George Arthur Willes and Edith Josephine Strong Willes.
Pam was a 1975 graduate of USC-Upstate School of Nursing and served as a Registered Nurse at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center's Same Day Surgery as well as Carolina Plastic Surgery for many years. During this time, she served as a medical missionary in the Dominican Republic each summer.
Pam and her husband had a wanderlust, visiting 158 countries during their 60 years of marriage. She was a member of the Acts Sunday School Class at Morningside Baptist Church, Botanical Belles Garden Club, Beautiful Hat Group, Hearts and Hands Crafters, Stitchers and Sowers, and Prayer Shawl Group. Most of all, enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and numerous friends.
Pam was predeceased by: her parents; her husband, Sam Edward Copeland; and twin sister, Angela Willes.
She is survived by: brother, John Arthur Willes of Charlotte, NC; sons, Mitchell (Cindy) Wayne Copeland of Spartanburg, SC and Bryan Andrew (Donna) Copeland (Snellville, GA); daughter, Susan (Danny) Copeland Holcombe of Moore, SC; two grandsons, Rion Holcombe and Jason (Christina) Slaten; three granddaughters, Paige Copeland, Aimee (Stephen) Copeland Mercier, and Molly (Zach) Claire Holcombe Dungan; great-grandson, Mathew Slaten; nephew, Chris Willes; and nieces, Josephine Willes Funk and Laura Willes Bowers.

A Celebration of the Life of Pamela Willes Copeland will be held on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at 4:30 p.m. at Morningside Baptist Church, 897 S. Pine Street, Spartanburg, SC. The family will receive friends in the Welcome Center at Morningside following the service.
