Mr. James “Junebug” Palmore Jr.,63, of Attalla, AL passed away on Friday, May12, 2023.
Mr. James Palmore Jr. was born on February 24, 1960 in Gadsden, AL to the late Ethel Pearl Patrick Croft and late Elder James Palmore St. On May 12, 2023 je answered the call to be with his heavenly Father. James accepted Christ at an early age. He joined in holy matrimony to Robbie Jean Palmore in 1987. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Mary Bozeman, Minnie Croft and Vera Croft, and brother William Croft.
James was educated in the city of Mobile, AL. He furthered his education at South Alabama. James relocated back to Etowah County and married the love of his life, Robbie Jean Palmore of 36 years. He worked with the City of Attalla and retired after 20 years of service. James was an avid football fan to the University of Alabama, “Roll Tide.” He enjoyed spending time at the fishing bank, watching basketball and enjoying his children, friends and family.
Fond memories of James will be cherished by his wife, Robbie Jean Palmore, his children Antonio Townsend, Jermical (Janae) Taylor, Britney (Brett) Palmore and Ladarius (Kate) Palmore. His grandchildren MeKhyzsa Townsend, Antonio Townsend Jr., Josiah Smith, Kahlil Williams, Malik Coleman, Aaliyah Coleman, Kadance Jones and Kashmir Banks. Siblings Dorothy (Willie) Coleman, Annie (Grover) Robinson, Irene Palmore and Ricky Croft. Brother-in-laws Jimmie (Karen) Mcragne and Sylvester (Janice) Maragne. Sister-in-laws Johnetta (Donald) Saules and Sheila Maragne, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
Public Viewing will be on Friday, May 19, 2023 with family hour from 5pm-6pm.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 11am at Friendship Baptist Church, Attalla, AL.
