Mr. D’Juan Shawn Taylor, son of Daphne Taylor Robinson and Keith Lamont Barnes, was born July 24, 1986 in Richmond, VA and departed this life suddenly May, 5, 2023 in Boydton, VA. He was preceded in death by his grandmother-Mary I. Barnes and grandfathers- Lovelace “Fuzzy” Hinton and Archie “Big Dog” Perch.
At an early age he was baptized and joined Penuel RZUA Church, Palmer Springs, VA. He was a 2004 graduate of Park View Senior High School.
He later became employed by Brunswick County as a Correctional Officer. With his loved for cooking, he became a chef for The Point at Lake Gaston, Littleton, NC.
D’Juan had a love for music, especially Rap. His Rap named was “YOUNG FYNEST.” He was the life of the room and party. His favorite saying was—“TAYLOR MADE” and his favorite color was RED. He had a good heart, willing to do anything for anybody and he would go out of his way to help.
D’Juan leaves to cherish his memory: his three children- Takiyah and Devin Taylor of Chase City, VA and Aiden Taylor of the home; mother- Daphne Taylor Robinson (Walter) of the home; father- Keith (Klarissa) Barnes of Knightdale, NC; three brothers- D’ontra Davis of Cary, NC; Keith (Shantel) Wright of Virginia Beach, VA and Asa Barnes of Knightdale, NC; one sister- Alia Barnes of Harlem, NY; grandmother- Dorothy Taylor of Boydton, VA; loving and devoted aunts and uncles- Nicole Taylor (Michael Boyd); Keisha Taylor, Tawanda Watson, Felecia Solomon, Tonya Hinton, Lovelace Edwards, Ivory, Effie, Ashley, and Michelle Hinton and Tabitha Reid; devoted favorite cousins who were like brothers and sisters- Shawn and Dashawnda Lambert, Adam Watson, Brandon Williams, Navasha Tate, Jaquell and Jada Taylor and C’Jay Timmons; his special personal advisor- Ernestine Clark; special friends- Jarvis and Kevin Seward, Tyree Terry, Tarsha Alexander, Corey Spruell, and Alminta Seward, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
Words can’t explain him because D’Juan always unapologetically was D’Juan.
