Obituary For Randall Jerome Ervin

Mr. Randall Jerome Ervin of Heflin Alabama, passed away on May 6, 2023, at the age of 49 in Winter Haven Florida.

Funeral Service for Mr. Randall Jerome Ervin will be Saturday, May 13, 2023, 1:00 pm at Heflin Recreation Center of Heflin, Alabama with Reverend Stacy Hill, Eulogist.

Burial will follow in Heflin Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday, May 12, 2023 from 1:00 - 5:00 pm at Goodson Funeral Home.

Randall "Jerome" Ervin was born on December 12, 1973, to the parentage of Janice Ervin in Boston, Massachusetts. Jerome joined Mount Olive Baptist Church at an early age. He was educated at Cleburne County High School of Heflin, Alabama. After graduating high school, he joined the US Military and served six years of his life in the Navy. He was a very determined person and worked very hard. He landed a job with Circle K Fuel South Express and had a strong passion for the job he did. He was a loving father, youth basketball coach, high school football coach, and he also played semi-pro football for the Portland Prowlers.

Jerome was preceded in death by his father, Willie Greathouse, and grandparents. He leaves behind to cherish his memories: his parents, J.S. and Janice Wilson of Heflin, AL; three children, Rahjon Ponder-Ervin, Laila Ervin, and Olivia Ervin; three sisters, Janet Wilson (Cedric Tarrance) of Jacksonville, AL, Chermaine Hicks (Kevin Hicks) of McDonough, GA, and Millicent Greathouse (Olivia Buchanan) of Chicago, IL; one brother, Jerray Wilson of Villa Rica, GA; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other family, and friends. Jerome departed from this earthly home on May 6, 2023, while working in Tampa, Florida.
