James A. Simmons, 98, widower of Dorothy Mae Ragin Simmons, died Friday, May 5, 2023 at McLeod Health Clarendon, Manning, SC. He was born May 10, 1924 in Summerton, SC. A son of the late Isaac Simmons and Frances Nelson Simmons.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 4342 Greeleyville Hwy., Manning, SC. Burial will follow in Sumter Cemetery, Sumter, SC.
