Addie Mae Meek Brown was born in York, South Carolina on January 29, 1939 to the late Jefferson Meek and the late Elizabeth Davis. She transitioned from her earthly home on Saturday; April 29, 2023 Wendover Hospice, Shelby.

Viewing at the funeral home on Friday; May 5, 2023 from 4 until 6

Funeral on Saturday; May 6, 2023 at St. John Baptist Church, Gastonia at 2:00 with thirty minute visitation (1:30 p.m.)

Interment: Armstrong Cemetery, Gastonia
