Mr. Freddie Marshall Snipes passed on Friday, April 21, 2023.Visitation will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023 from 1:00 P.M. until 4:30 P.M. at Trice Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at Trice Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Southview Cemetery. Trice Funeral Home of Thomaston is in charge of all arrangements. Please keep the Snipes family in prayer.
Mr. Freddie Marshall Snipes was born to the Ms. Mattie Snipes and the late Mr. Willie James Marshall on October 22, 1954. He was educated in the Upson County School System and attended Drake High School.
During his early working years. Freddie was employed by the William Carter Company in Barnesville, GA as a mechanic repairman. He also worked various other jobs.
Freddie was very quiet and very smart in math. During his leisure time, he enjoyed watching all sports, especially Braves baseball; shooting pool; walking and; traveling; and spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father; one sister, Dorothy Kirk; and one brother, Marvin Snipes. On Friday, April 21, 2023, the Lord called Freddie’s name. He answered and went to his eternal home.
Freddie leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Ms. Mattie Snipes of Thomaston, GA; four sisters, Ms. Dorothy (Thomas) Tate of Decatur, GA, Mrs. Linda Williams of Williamson, GA, Mrs. Earnestine Harris and Diane Pennyman both of Thomaston, GA; five brothers, Mr. Charlie (Mozelle) Kirk ,Jr. of Waverly, AL, Mr. Bobby Kirk of Jonesboro, GA, Mr. Harry (Shirley) Snipes of Decatur, GA Mr. Mitchell (Shirley) Snipes of Evans, GA, and Mr. George Snipes of Thomaston, GA; sister-in-law, Mrs. Sheila Snipes of Thomaston, GA; one aunt, Mrs. Linda Huggins of Winder, GA; a cousin who was more like a brother, Mr. Walter (Sandra) Snipes of Fairburn, GA; devoted family friends, Mr. Frank (Joselle) Chatman of Fayetteville, GA, rev. Robert (Rev. Doniece) Chatman of Thomaston, GA, and Ms. Janice Chatman of Riverdale, GA; a devoted friend, Ms. Denise Lockett of Thomaston, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
