Mr. Caroll Davis passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2023.

A service honoring his life will me held Tuesday, April 25, 2023 in the Cassie Coote-Brown Memorial Chapel of Perry J. Brown Funeral Home; 909 E. Market Street Greensboro, North Carolina. The visitation will begin 10:30 at and the service will follow beginning at 11am.

The burial will follow the service at Altha Grove Baptist Church Cemetery; 7376 Cottontown Road Forest, Virginia 24551.

On Tuesday, April 18, 2023, Caroll Davis, 89, entered eternal rest at Beacon Place Hospice Care in Greensboro, North Carolina. He was born on January 13, 1935, to the union of the late Jefferson and Susie Davis in Lynchburg, Virginia.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Carl Michael Davis; his brother, Lowell Davis; and his sister, Jeanette Scott.

Caroll was a kind, loving person, full of humor and care for others. He worked throughout his life in many occupations, including as a Crane Operator at Edgecomb Steel for 35 years and driving for Yellow Cab for more than 30 years. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 66 years, Alma Davis; a brother, Willie W. Davis of Washington, D.C.; five sisters, Gertrude Scott, Jean Ferguson, Betty Harris, Evelyn Higginbotham (Wallace) and Peggy Ferguson (Rodney) and a sister-in-law, Catherine Davis, all of Lynchburg, Virginia; a daughter-in-law, Doris Davis; 2 grandchildren Ashley “Alex” Hedgepeth (Michael) and Michael Davis; and 2 great-grandchildren, Ava Davis and Ezra Hedgepeth, and a host of nieces and nephews.
