Mrs. Rosie Curry Moore, 72, of Grover, NC passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at Atrium Health-Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. Rosie was born on September 19, 1950 in Cherokee County, SC to the late Ola C. Coleman. After her mother’s passing, she was raised by her late grandparents, Fate and Rossie Curry.

Rosie attended Compact High School but would graduate from Kings Mountain High School in 1968. During her early years, Rosie worked in textile mills until she went to school to become a Certified Nursing Assistant, a job that she loved, up until retiring.

She was a lifelong member of Shiloh A.M.E. Zion Church. As a member of Shiloh, she served on many boards. She was a member of the Young Adult Choir, the Senior Choir, Sunday School Teacher and Secretary as well as serving on the Usher Board, Missionary Board and Deaconess Board. She also was a faithful member of Eastern Star Lodge #5 in Grover, NC.

Besides her mother and grandparents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Larry Jay Moore, Sr.; son, Larry Jay Moore, II; granddaughter, Myiah M. McCall and brother, Clarence Coleman, Jr.

Rosie leaves cherished and precious memories to her daughters, Iris R. Curry of Charlotte, NC and Ola E. Moore of Harrisburg, NC; three sisters, Maxine Houze of Kings Mountain, NC, Mona Curry of Phoenix, AZ and Gladys Coleman Smith of Rochester, NY; one brother, Darby Curry of McDonough, GA; three sister-cousins Priscilla Jimson of Kings Mountain, NC, Brenda Barber of Charlotte, NC and Angela Curry Marable of Grover, NC; two brother-cousins, Jesse Hughes of Grover, NC and Terry Hughes of Philadelphia, PA and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Shiloh A.M.E Zion Church. The service will be livestreamed starting at 11:45 AM from Enloe Mortuary Facebook Page. Burial will take place at church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM until 12:00 PM at the church and at other times on the following days and times: Monday, April 17th from 2:00-6:00 pm; Tuesday, April 18th from 2:00-6:00pm and Wednesday, April 19th from 3:00-6:pm.
