James Ronald Evans

James Ronald Evans, 58 years of age, passed away on April 14, 2023.

James was born on October 1, 1964 to Mrs. Mary Nell Evans in Siloam, Georgia. He received his education in the Greene County School System. James and Renee were married on May 29, 1993. They were blessed with two children: James Travon and Jonathan Treon. James accepted Christ at an early age at Flat Rock Baptist Church in White Plains, Georgia. Later in life, he adopted Hills Chapel Baptist Church and Boswell Chapel Church as his honorary church homes. He was a dedicated and hard working employee of Novelis for 15 years. He also shared his skill sets at Georgia Pacific, Horton Homes, Wellington, and Bryan Scott/Chipman Union. When James wasn’t working, he loved electrifying the community with his laughter, spending time with his family, chaperoning others, detailing cars, enhancing his love of old cars, and serving others. James was a people person and enjoyed making others laugh and smile. His laughter and love for life will be remembered forever.

He was preceded in death by Charlie Ed, grandfather, Lily Mae Evans, grandmother, Uncles, Seymour Evans, Johnny Evans, George Evans, Michael Evans, Jessie James Evans, MacArthur Evans, and Paul Evans; Aunts, Dora Bell Johnson and Charlie Mae Terrell and father in-law, James Nesbitt.

James is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Renee Nesbitt-Evans; two children Travon and Jonathan Evans; three grandsons, Travon Amauri Evans, JaVian Travon Evans, and Jace Travon Evans; a beloved mother, Mary Nell Evans; siblings, Robert Evans, Shirley Evans, Freddie (Tia) Evans, and Tameka (Raven) Wingfield; uncles, Anderson Evans and Roosevelt Evans; nieces, Yoshalyn (Henry) Rowland-Neal, Shaquitta Wingfield, Arielle Wingfield, Chandler (Arnoldo) Evans-Medina, Chyna Colon (Kenosha, WI), and Jordyn Nesbitt (Morgan City, LA); nephews, Tahj Wingfield, Ashton Evans, Brockton Evans, and Jermaine Nesbitt, Jr. (Evanston, IL); a loving mother in-law, Lucy Stovall-Nesbitt; brother in-law, Jermaine Nesbitt (Evanston, IL), and sister in-law, Janet Bess-Colon (Kenosha, WI), a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins, Novelis colleagues, Nesbitt in-laws, and many friends.

Services Saturday, April 22, 2023 from the Grace Fellowship Church 1971 South Main Street, Greensboro, GA at 11am., with Rev. Arthur Porter Officiating and Rev. Herman Laguins, Eulogist.
