Pastor Erbie Lee Crowell, Sr., 71, of Phenix City, AL passed Thursday, April 13, 2023 in Columbus, GA. Funeral service will be 12 noon EST, Saturday, April 22, 2023 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Phenix City, AL. Visitation is Friday, April 21, 2023 from 2-5 p.m. EST. Pastor Erbie Lee Crowell, Sr. "Little Man" was born December 15, 1951 in Seale, AL to the late Lucious, Sr. and Mary Jane Crowell. He was a devoted Pastor, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, Nephew, Cousin and Friend.

Pastor Crowell founded Resurrection Full Gospel Baptist Church in 2001 and served faithfully as their Pastor until his untimely passing. He absolutely loved his "RFGBC Family" and was loved by them as well. His God-given sermons and teachings won many souls to Christ and the anointing of God worked through him to help heal many. Pastor Crowell enjoying, preaching, teaching, and singing for the Lord often times being called the "Singing Preacher".

Pastor Crowell was officially licensed in February 2000 by Pastor Henry Hatchett and in April of 2001, he received his Certificate of Ordination. He later received his Certificate of Merit in Bible Interpretation, Certificate of Merit in Charismatic Truths and Certificate of Merit in Christology from Rhema Correspondence Bible School.

Pastor Crowell had a big heart for his family. His giant smile and quick humor was the life of every party. He was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide College Football fan, Atlanta Braves Baseball fan, and Atlanta Falcons football fan. He enjoyed fishing, landscaping and gardening.

Pastor Crowell was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lazarus Lindon Crowell, Willie James Crowell, Lucious Crowell, II and sister, Mary Allen.

He leaves to cherish his memories, a devoted wife of 51 years, Diane Crowell; two sons, Erbie L., Jr. (Katesia) Crowell and Kereen Crowell; one daughter, Tamicka (Menzie, III) Caldwell; nine grandchildren, Trenton J. Thomas, C. Taya Thomas, Kambry'n K. Crowell, Kaeden J. Crowell, Alaina M. Holloway, Kaleb K. Crowell, Braelyn Z. Crowell, Kolbri L. Crowell and Carter L. Crowell; two bonus grandchildren, Deadreon Lakes and Makiah Caldwell; two brothers, Johnny (Katie) Crowell and Jessie (Falichia) Crowell; two sisters, Flora Allen and Min. Princess (Eddie) Williams; the entire Resurrection Full Gospel Baptist Church Family along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, other relatives and friends.
