Mr. George L. Wooden, 77, entered into rest, Sunday, April 9, 2023, in Emory University Hospital.
He leaves to mourn his passing; a loving and devoted wife of eighteen years, Joyce Wooden; two sons, Timothy Wooden and Alphonso Wooden; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one sister, Jeanette (Charles) July; two sisters-in law; two brothers-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A celebration of life will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Kinsey & Walton Chapel. Interment will follow at Old Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery (200 Macedonia Road, North Augusta, South Carolina). Public viewing, 2 to 6 PM, Friday, April 14, 2023, at Kinsey & Walton Funeral Home, 3618 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta, GA. (706) 790-8858.
