Commissioner Vice Mayor Dorothy "Dottie" Johnson will be missed be so many, however her legacy and activism will forever live on. Commissioner Vice Mayor Johnson lived a live of service and was committed to making a difference. Through The Portrait of Empowerment(TPOE), Commissioner Vice Mayor Johnson provided an opportunity for so many children and families to experience mentorship, educational enrichment, life skills and much more. I was one of Dorothy's strongest supporters and she was one of mine. When I was president of the Miami Dade NAACP she ran and was elected First Vice President. She was devoted to helping her community and fighting for racial justice. We have lost a strong warrior. I along with so many others will miss her wise counsel and friendship. Brad Brown

My deepest condolences to the family of the late Dorothy. At Revelation 21:4 it gives us hope that all tears will be wiped from our eyes and the pain of losing our loved ones to death will be no more. May all find comfort thru the reading of the scriptures during this time of sorrow. Darlene C
