I share this poem I wrote in fond tribute to my mother, Emma Buchanan. Thank you Mother for your love so dear. Love your daughter Doris Mother Excerpt from I Wish to Live Life By Doris Washington You've shown me how to be strong through Life's trials from day to day. You've shown me that patience Is learned through time, And to welcome many of life's challenges As they come my way. You've shown me that people love differently In their own way. This I've come to see. And most of all- You've shown me What a Mother is supposed to be. Doris Washington © 2019.

My mother was a beautiful quite lady who spoke her mind and at the same carried grace as she so lived. I miss her but understand God takes us home in His Time. She lived a full life through many years of wisdom. I'm so blessed our family was able to see her reach 100 years, a blessing I know we will always cherish.
