You will ALWAYS be "That Guy"❣️ Thank you for all the birthday wishes and remembering me on holidays. For listening to my poetry over the phone and showing me ATL on a spur of the moment trip, we had a blast. A true genuine soul, a friend, a consummate gentleman, a renaissance man who always made me laugh, never a dull moment with you Diop. Now you and my Sis Felicia Geathers are together again watching down over all of us here. Don't y'all have too much fun up there. I love you my friend rest well 🙏🏽 Peace & Blessings To the entire Williams Family Drew (Georgetown S.C) The service was beautiful and I'm so happy that I was able to share in his home going service.

Praying for peace and comfort for your entire family. You were the definition of a true gentleman...always positive and uplifting. I remember when you ran the gym at Howard for recreational basketball games...you would call me and tell me to fix you a sandwich and a cup of kook aid....lol. Those were the good days. Rest well my friend....Darlene from Hawkins St

I'm devastated to hear about what happened to Derrick. Derrick was the most likeable person I know. Derrick was a genuine person who meant a lot to me. This really hurts and doesn't even seem real!!! We reconnected a few years ago and it felt like we never missed a beat. I am truly saddened by this and I'm sorry for your/our loss. He will truly be missed. I'm praying for you all during this difficult time. Sending my deepest condolences to the Williams family! God Bless you all! Cyrus Ford (Submitted again because I didn't leave my name)

My condolences to the entire Williams Family. I remembered when we first met at St. Cyprian Catholic School around 1977. We were so much alike and became friends. You was funny and feisty never backing down and I will always share a mutual respect. Brother where did the time go ? I wasn't prepared for this but I will always keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. RIP My Brother Sincerely Kelson
