Obituary For Mary Howell

Mary Ann Howell, the fourth child to the late Anderson and Theresa Robinson was born in Reading, Pennsylvania. She passed peacefully into eternal life on Friday, March 3, 2023.

She received her formal education in the public school district of Harrisburg, PA. She was employed with Columbus Public Schools for over 25 years, as an accounts payable clerk. During her working career, she was an active member of OAPSE (Ohio Association of Public School Employees). Mary Ann was a woman who took the position of leadership quite naturally. She served on the OAPSE State Executive Board for 14 years. She was elected from the members to be a delegate for two presidential conventions. With proven experience in budgetary and financial issues, Mary Ann was elected and served as a SERS (School Employees Retirement System) retiree member representative. She was a member of the Junior League Social Club for over 20 years.

Mary Ann loved life and lived it to its fullest. She enjoyed traveling, swimming, playing cards, spending time with family and friends and was very passionate about politics.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Edgar Robinson and her sister, Isabella Payne. Mary Ann leaves to cherish her memory, three daughters, Theresa Pettis of King of Prussia, PA, Kendall Whetsel and Eleanor Whetsel, both of Columbus, Ohio; Five grandchildren, Dennis (Elishia) Pettis of Singapore, Krystle Wilson of Columbus, Ohio, Blair Douglas of Jacksonville, FL, Tommie Lee, Simone Potts, both of Columbus, Ohio; one great- grandson, Ayden Lee of Columbus, Ohio; one brother Stewart Robinson of Harrisburg, PA; one sister Eleanor Bludsaw of Los Angeles, CA; nieces and nephews and a host of friends who cherished her so much.
