Funeral service for James Kellum, 73, of Opelika, AL, will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 1, 2023, at The City Church, 2900 Waverly Parkway, Opelika, AL, 36801 with interment in Evergreen Cemetery, 1409 Monroe Avenue, Opelika, AL, 36801, Bishop A.L. Dowdell will officiate.

Mr. Kellum, who passed away Friday, March 17, 2023 at Piedmont Health in Columbus, GA, was born September 25, 1949 in Lee County, Alabama.

Public viewing will be Friday, March 31, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (Facial covering is required.

Mr. Kellum will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories: three children, Eric Kellum, Roderick Kellum both of Opelika, AL and Stephanie Kellum of Phenix City, AL; seventeen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; two special cousins, Doris Cooks of Birmingham, AL and Earnestine Brooks of Opelika, AL; special friends; John Harper and the Good Ole Boys Social Club; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
