OBITUARY:
Brother Danny Lamar Neal was born in Holmes County on May 16, 1973, to the parents of the late Mrs. Ophelia Cooper Neal and the late Mr. Milton(Tom) Boyd. He confessed hope in Christ at an early age and joined Promise Land Missionary Baptist Church where he served as an usher until his health failed him.
Danny attended Mileston Elementary School and S.V. Marshall High School for his education. Danny was employed for Mileston Elementary School as a janitor for many years, Southern Leisure Mobile Homes and Fleetwood Mobile Homes, BRV, Railroad, Malouf Construction, Alluvian Hotel, ad many other jobs. Most of all his favorite hobby was auto mechanics, which he loved doing and building and restoring antique cars and motors(The best)!
Danny departed this life on March 22, 2023 at the UMMC in Lexington, MS.
Danny was loved and respected by everyone who knew him. He loved his family and loved Christ. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, sister, brother and other close relatives.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 31 years, Mrs. Katherine Donelson-Neal; two sons; LeAnajawon Donelson(Buck), Ra'Deedra Harris of Jackson, MS and Danny D. Neal(Joe Joe)Chelsea of Tchula, MS and two daughters Ja'Niah L. Donelson of Tchula, MS and Samara Haynes of Columbus, MS; stepmother; Waverly L. Boyd of Tchula, MS; Four grandchildren; three brothers; Shilo (Gracie) Neal of Strawberry Plains, TN; Johnny(Dawn) Neal of Riverdale, GA, Keith Neal of Vicksburg, MS; One sister Renada Cooper and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
