Cynthia D. Douglas entered eternal rest on Monday, March 20th, 2023, at Rex Hospital surrounded by family and friends. She was bornin Wake County to Eupharsia Olive Douglas and the late Bruce W. She was a mother figure to many of them. After 20-plus years in childcare, Cynthia retired. Many attributes can be used to describe Cynthia. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She was the comedian of the family and was always ready to listen and give sound advice that was filled with love and humor. Shedesignated herself as the βnickname β creator for many of the children in her family. Once she assigned the name, it stuck with you. Her grace, kindness, humor, and love she sharedwill truly be missed. Cynthia was preceded in death by her father, Bruce W. Douglas, and her adopted brother Michael Mims. Our beloved Cynthia was a believer of Jesus Christ. That means we do more than grieve but we also celebrate what Cindy has received. She has received grace upon grace, God's love, the pain which she carried removed and the gift of eternal life. Cousin Euphrasia and family, though Cynthia"s life has ended here on earth, she has started a new life with God. That is why even in the midst of tears and grief, we are able to celebrate: "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." Sorrowfully submitted, Reverend Dr. Mary Heggie & Family
