Barbara attended Albert Harris Schools, enjoyed her time there with classmates and socialized with her friends and neighbors for a lifetime. She enjoyed travel, many road trips, international travel, cruises, and visits with family members. She always wanted to be where she could enjoy life and have a good time. Very special to Barbara was making certain that her parents who lived next door were cared for and had everything they needed. She loved cooking family favorites to await the family scurrying in on the weekends for her good food. …a Barbara joy! Barbara could be counted on to support her family with endearing care. Barbara had a good heart, and she did not mind expressing her opinion. Also, of great pleasure, as well, was her church, weekday choir practice and regular worship at Mt. Zion AME. As her health failed, she was unable to attend church, but continued to listen to radio and televised worship.
She is survived by daughter, Constance Rene Jamison (Marvin/deceased); Eugene Dudley Reynolds (Dawn), and Ronald O’Keith Reynolds; one sister, Jacquelyn Bolden (Arthur); one uncle, Paul Penn; five grandchildren, Tennille, Erica, Tia, Ebony, and Marcie (Brian); seven great-grandchildren, Omarion, Jamarius, Jaliyah, Ya’Niya, Ya’Mauria, Brayden, and Jessiah; two great great-grandchildren, Amiri, and Autumn. Preceded her in death, Eugene Reynolds, spouse, and parents, John and Annie Matthews.
