In Loving Memory of Jennifer Regina Johnson born September 19, 1950 to Luther A & Isabella Fooks Johnson Of Salisbury, Maryland. She departed this life on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at Emory Hillandale Hospital Lithonia, Georgia. Her early childhood was in loving community, Sunset Heights, Salisbury. Where everyone was like one big Family. Jennifer attended Salisbury Elementary School and Graduated from Wicomico Sr. High School, Wicomico County, Maryland. She loved music and was a member of the chorus. She continued her education in computer programming at IT&T in Washington, D.C. After receiving her certification IT&T she attended University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) for 2 years.
Jennifer’s first Job was a 411 operator at Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Co. in D.C. She Found her idea job as sales consultant for Xerox Corp, where she worked and retired after 27 years of service. Most of her working career was in Rochester, NY. In the mid 80’s she a had a strong desire to live closer to family and warmer weather. She moved with her young son, Christopher, leaving the cold and snowy weather behind for warm summer nights in Atlanta, Georgia. She worked in retail after her Xerox career for J.C. Penny’s and food service at Publix Grocery store.
Jennifer was a longtime member and Friend of Hillside Int’l Truth Center In Atlanta, Georgia the Late Bishop Dr. Barbara L. King founder/minister. She volunteered in the Truth & Treasures book store for many years. Jennifer was a devout reader and writer, and her memory was outstanding. She never forgot birthdates, names and events. Playing scrabble, trivia games and working puzzles were a passion. As a loving mother and grandmother her son and grandson brought her The most joy.
