The funeral services for the late Mrs. Annie Maude Mcrae of 130 Hardin Avenue, Ashburn, Georgia, who departed this life on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at her residence, will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. from the Greater St. Luke Baptist Church in Ashburn, Georgia. Elder Ulysses Teague will deliver the Eulogy. Burial will follow in the Westview Memorial Cemetery in Ashburn, Georgia. Mrs. Annie Maude Johnson McRae was born December 4, 1948 to the parents of the late Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Lee and Lorene Johnson of Buena Vista, Georgia.
After fighting a faith-filled fight, Maude entered into rest on Sunday, February 26, 2023. On February 8, 2023, before her untimely departure, Maude surrendered all and accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior. With this, she exhibited faith throughout her diagnosis by saying, “God Got This.” Her profession of faith was an encouragement to those by her side to the end. A daughter, Jennifer Lucy, three siblings, Bennie Lee Johnson, Willie C Johnson, Vivian Wilkes, have all preceded her in death.
Mrs. Maude leaves to cherish her memories five children, Maura (Randy) Williams of Bonaire, Georgia, Sharon (Gregory) Tanner, Carl (Shannou) Johnson, Mario, McRae, all of Ashburn, Georgia, John (Keisha) Barber of Lakeland, Georgia; grandchildren, Vancheta Tanner, Gregory Tanner, Jr., Emmanuel Jackson, Randy (Megan) Williams, Jr., DeCarlo (Debrette) Tanner, , Brandon (Deja) Williams, Jamaura Williams, Jontavia Lucy, Keyshawn Lucy, and Ah’Laysia Clark; a devoted sister, Mrs. Mary Lois (Melvin) Holloman of Ashburn, Georgia; an extended family of siblings from the union of the late Mr. Andrew Johnson and Mrs. Beatrice Johnson of Ashburn, Georgia; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including a special friend, Mr. Jerry “Shortstick” Dawson.
