Mr. Wiley "Lee" "The Spirit" Jackson, 63, of Columbus, GA passed Friday, February 17, 2023 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. EST Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Bethel A.M.E Church, Phenix City, AL with Rev. Brandon Thornton, pastor, officiating. Rev. Dr. Wendell Jones, eulogist. Burial will follow in Alexander-Abercrombie Cemetery. Visitation is Friday, March 3, 2023 from 1-5 p.m. EST.
"Lee" was born December 11, 1959 to Estella Lyles Jackson and the late Wiley Jackson, Sr. He attended Bethel A.M.E. Church in his earlier years; later attending churches throughout the Columbus, GA community. He matriculated through his educational experience at Mt. Olive High School. He worked at Fieldcrest Mills for many years and First Avenue Feed Store; most recently he was a custodian and landscaper for Peas in a Pod Daycare.
He leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Estella Lyles Jackson of Columbus, GA; his children, Dexter Jackson of Phenix City, AL, Kevin and Latasha Brewton, Antonio, Anthony and Antionette Garner all of Columbus, GA; six grandchildren; seven sisters, Gwedolyn (Eddie) Jones of Phenix City, AL, Annie Banks, Margarett Haggins, Prophettess Cynthia (Apostle Lee) Cantrell, Glenda Jackson and Verna Jackson all of Columbus, GA, Rev. Regina (Hayward) Williams of Smiths, AL; one brother, Vernon Jackson of Columbus, GA; aunts, Eula Sumbry of Columbus, GA, Janis Bowman of Eufaula, AL; uncles, Min. Douglas (Rev. Eunice) Lyles of Smiths, AL and Rev. Willie (Rachel) Lyles of Columbus, GA and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
