Obituary For Lynda Elizabeth Edwards-Herbin

Lynda Elizabeth Edwards-Herbin, age 70, of Atlanta, Georgia departed this life on February 21, 2023. She is preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Elizabeth (Christian) Edwards and two brothers, Andrew (Audrey) and Glenn (Brenda) Edwards. She is survived by her loving husband Earl Bradford Herbin, his daughter Tia, sister Marilynn, brother Joseph (Valerie) Edwards, and a host of relatives and friends. At a young age, Lynda became a member of All Souls Presbyterian Church in Richmond, Virginia. She graduated from John Marshall High School, Virginia State University and the University of Virginia. She was a beloved member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and remained involved with her chapter throughout her life. She held several managerial jobs before retiring from SunTrust Bank in 2014 as a Human Resource Specialist. In 2003, Lynda met the love of her life and she and Bradford were soon married in Hawaii. Together they enjoyed actively working with their respective alumnae associations and Greek chapters. Lynda was active with the Southern Regional UNCF and assisted with their annual telethons. Always the fashionista, Lynda enjoyed immersing herself in local culture and activities and she never left home without being confidently and fashionably attired. She had a particular passion for art and spent several years in art-buying and framing, maintaining her own business and providing other art lovers with beautifully framed pieces. Lynda leaves behind a legacy of gentleness, love and compassion. She always spoke fondly of her family and friends and enjoyed 20 loving years with her husband and his family. She will be missed by many. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at Scott's Chapel. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. video: https://vimeo.com/803971333

Lynda was my Line Sister. She was number 1 on our line and I was number 2. She had such a sweet and gentle spirit.
