PLAISANCE – Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at True Fellowship Baptist Church in Plaisance, LA for Miss Taneisha Latrell Young, 29, affectionately known by her family and friends as “NeNe”, who entered eternal rest on Friday, February 10, 2023 at her residence in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Rev. Todd Jones will be officiating the funeral service.

NeNe leaves to cherish her memories: her mother, Tammy Young and her father, Murphy Lamb, both of Opelousas, LA; maternal grandparents, Ivory “Winkey” Young and Leanna Young; five brothers, Murphy (Deshira) Young, Derrion Jackson, Deontre Rideau, Murkevon Burleigh and Avion Burleigh; six sisters, Taraneisha Young, Tyneisha Young, Murkayla Jackson, Asia Burleigh, Alaysha Burleigh and Arianna Burleigh; bonus sisters, Latoya Rubin and Courtney Rideau; uncles, Ivy (Leola) Young, Jr., Marcus Young, Terry Rubin, John Lamb and Ricky Lamb; aunt, Dionne Tidwell (Calvin); Godparents, Ivy Young, Jr. and Melissa Ashley; Godchildren, Khylin, Serenity and Hailey Wiltz; her special cousin, Shannon Edmond of Lafayette, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

NeNe is preceded in death by: her step father, Paul Green; paternal grandparents, Morris and Helen Zachary; maternal great grandparents, James, Sr. and Olivia Young; God parents, Hilman Laws and Ruby Nell Jackson; aunt, Tonya Lamb: and her niece, Madison Young.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at True Fellowship Baptist Church.
