Obituary For Mrs. Hattie Mae Redmon

Hattie Mae Redmon of Blytheville, Arkansas was born August 15, 1936 in Osceola, Arkansas the daughter of Anderson McNeal and MayLiza Rusk. Ms. Redmon was a dedicated and faithful member of True Light Baptist Church for over 50 years, where she served on Pastoral Aide Committee, Missionary Society, and as a choir member. She was well-loved in the community and was known through-out this community to be an excellent cook. “Ms. Hattie” and was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Arkansas Razorbacks. Ms. Redmon is preceded in death by her parents, and a grandson Rodney Banks. She transitioned into God’ eternal care on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Woodland Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Jacksonville, Arkansas at the age of 86. Ms. Redmon is survived by four sons, John (Sylvia) Redmon, III of Blytheville, Arkansas; Dewayne E. Jones of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Steven D. Daniels of Bloomington, Minnesota; and Gregory (Neakeyla) Daniels Midlothian, Texas; three daughters, Gloria J. Redmon of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Rhonda K. Banks of Jacksonville, Arkansas, and Vernice (Willie) Carson of Macon, Georgia; 24 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, and 15 great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 17, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McDonald-Horne Funeral Home, 1207 South Division Street. Blytheville, Arkansas. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at True Light Missionary Baptist Church, 1100 South Lilly Street. Dr. D.L. Clark is the pastor and will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in Gethsemane Gardens Cemetery.
