Obituary For Kate Daster Walter Studdard

Funeral service for Kate Studdard, 92, of Auburn, AL will be at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at Green Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 390 Lee Road 106, Auburn, AL 36830 with interment in Westview Cemetery, 700 Westview Drive, Auburn, AL 36830, Pastor Roland Austin will officiate.

Mrs. Studdard, who passed away Thursday, February 9, 2023 at the Bethany House in Auburn, Alabama, was born August 25, 1930 in Lee County, Alabama.

Public viewing will be Tuesday, February 14, 2023, from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. (Facial covering is required).

Mrs. Studdard will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: five children, Atoska (Jimmie) Gentry, Myra (Tony) Easley, Lezander M. Studdard, Jr. all of Auburn, AL, Jeanette McCray of Birmingham, AL and Felicia (Terry) Walker of Salem, AL; eleven grandchildren, Damarius (Janell) Studdard, Tonyetta Easley, D’Shundra McCray, Tanesha (James) Johnson, Tony “Bernard” (Joanna) Easley Jr., Eneika McCray, Natasha Finley, Aiesha Gentry, Terrell Walker (fiancé Dominique Plummer), Nicole Finley and Allysa Gentry; twelve great-grandchildren, Jaiden, Carter, Morgan, Evan, Harper, K’Shanti, Chloe, Jaida, El’Jin, Amaya, Lexia and Ezekiel; one grandson-in-law, Eric Melton; three sisters-in-law, Olivia Brown, Laura Kirkland and Myrtle Washington; a special niece, Doris Torbert; a special nephew, Kevin (Kimberly) McRae; three godchildren that she raised as her own, Emilie Johnson, Bobby Cannon and Leigh Allbrook; her adopted children, Cheryl Adkins, Nellie (Willie) Aldridge, Selena (J.D.) Bass, Betty Lyles, Luthus (Deborah) Lyles, Martha Lyles, Barbara Dowdy, Houston (Donna) Melton, Pearl Melton and Mattie Pitts; her adopted granddaughters, JaEtta Dowdy-Pebbles and Jiya Peters; three special friends, Idella Dowdell, Mavis Melton, and Jeanette Strickland; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
