Virginia L. Key-Freeman Obituary Sunrise:3/24/1942 Sunset:1/30/2023
Virginia L. Key-Freeman was born on March 24th, 1942 from the late parents of Willie Key Bradley in Kent’s Store Virginia in Fluvanna County. Virginia was the Third born of eight children. She had three brothers, McKinley Key, Haywood Warren Key (deceased),and Henry Bradley Key. Her sisters are Barbara A. Parrish, Margaret Bruce,Mary Cypress and Betty Bryant. After the death of her parents, Virginia moved to New York to live with her Aunt Anne and Uncle Ben Dover. She became a member of Convent Avenue Baptist Church as a teenager in 1958 and remained a member until her passing. She attended JHS 167 and continued her education at George Washington High School. It was at this school where she met the love of her life and married Fred Freeman. They remained happily married until Fred’s passing in 2001. After graduating she went onto to study Business Administration at the NYC Bilingual Institute for two years. She went on to work in the medical field as a nurse for the Community Resource Center For The Developmentally Disabled Inc, for twenty four years at the Jacobi Nurses Residence in The Bronx. Virginia leaves to mourn her siblings, her son Nathaniel Freeman, daughter Lisa Brown,her grandsons Jason A Brown and Jermaine F. Brown and granddaughter Nalani X. Freeman. Her cousin Regina Wright and husband Michael Wright in NY and many nieces and nephews and cousins in DC, Maryland and Virginia. As well as any friends and neighbors.
