Obituary For Rhonda Gail Lee

Rhonda Gail Lee of Lake Forest Drive entered into eternal rest on February 1, 2023, at Piedmont-Augusta Hospital.

A native of Augusta, GA, Rhonda Gail Lee was born to the late Leroy Lee, Sr. and Mamie Scruggs-Lee. After graduating from T.W. Josey High School, she attended Paine College, after which she began working for Pilgrim Health & Life Insurance Company before commencing her career path as an educator for Richmond County Public Schools for 18 years. She retired in 2016. Rhonda was a proud member of Tau Gamma Delta Sorority.

A faithful servant, Gail developed an early relationship with God at Mt. Tabor AME Zion, the family church, later joining Cornerstone Faith Ministries of Augusta, serving on the Prayer Line Council and Sunday School Board. Gail was preceded in death by her brother Gary Kenneth Lee.

She leaves to cherish her memories; brother, Leroy Lee, Jr. (Carolyn) of Wilmington, NC; niece, Karen Lee Coss (Carlos) of Raleigh, NC; nephews, Derrick Lee and Timothy Lee of Atlanta, GA, great-nephews Kai and Kollin Coss of Raleigh, NC, and great niece Kira Lee. She shared a special relationship with her cousin, Melanie (Jeremiah) Lee-Jackson and three loving cousins who were like grandchildren to Gail, Jeremiah Jackson, JaNylah S. Jackson, and JaMya M. Jackson, all of Augusta, GA, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A memorial service will be 3:00 pm, Saturday, February 11, 2023, at Conerstone of Faith Ministries, 2112 Eastland Drive, Augusta, GA. 30904
