Obituary For Sheila Gilchrist - Booker

Sheila Gilchrist-Booker, 66, of Richmond, died January 19, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Booker; parents, Grant Jr. and Sophia Gilchrist and sister, Eleanor Logan. Surviving are her daughter, Shawnetta Y. Maben (Aaron); three bonus daughters; two grandchildren, Emonie Smith and Kennedy Maben; host of bonus grandchildren and great grandchildren; two sisters, Gail Stubbs and Yvonne Gilchrist; brother, Grant Gilchrist III; host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Scotts Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd., where viewing will be held Thursday, January 26 from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, January 27 at Scott's Chapel, 116 E. Brookland Park Blvd. Pastor Deborah Crumm-Price, officiating. Interment Tuesday, January 31 at 11 a.m. at Oakwood Cemetery. Ms Sheila were a grandmother I never really had. Your presence, smile and words of advice is what I will hold Witt me forever. This is still just so hard to comprehend. You were a constant fixture at our house. My entire childhood consisted of "Martin and Sheila" as if you were one person.
