Larry Quay Richards, 82 of Bowie, TX went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 5th, 2023.

A memorial service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 28th, at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie.

Larry was born March 30, 1940 in Grand Saline, TX to Vernon Ralph and Helen (Fife) Richards. He married Linda Faye Henry on July 20, 1963 and was a loving husband until his death.

Larry, aka “Pappy's” big heart, love and desire for adventure are just a few characteristics that he will be remembered by. He will be greatly missed here on earth, but family will have peace knowing he is walking and fishing again with family and friends in Heaven.

He was a phenomenal husband, who loved his wife fiercely. He was also a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle.

He never met a stranger and always had an amazing story worth sharing. He knew something about everything. One of his grandkids, when asked a question replied, “I don't know. Go as Pappy, he knows everything.”

He is preceded in death by his parents, and sister Emily Kent.

There are MANY memories connected with Larry One is the day I learned to water ski. Larry was very patient and piloting the boat. It is a pleasant memory of many years ago. Dear Ones, I know that you will miss the giant of a man. We all will. However, we had so many great memories of being in his presence that we will simply dwell upon them and they will bring a smile to our face. God bless you and keep you. We send our most profound love to each of you. Jack & Jo Ann Davidson
