Obituary For Ronald and Chandra Goodwin

We respectfully announce the passing of our Beloved Ms. Chandra Brown Goodwin, 52, of Baton Rouge, LA and Mr. Ronald Lewis Goodwin, 53 of North Carolina on December 31, 2022. Celebration of Life services will be held Wednesday January 11, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the Willie A. Watkins Special Events Center, 5843 Redan Rd, Lithonia GA 30058, Pastor Sylvania Watkins Eulogist. The viewing will be Tuesday January 10, 2023 from 2-6 PM at the Willie A. Watkins Special Events Center. Final arrangements entrusted to Willie A. To the family, on 31 December 2022 while traveling to the store I drove up on this accident that seemed unreal. As we ran over to the cars (the car behind me & I) she was the third person I saw and when I saw her breathing I immediately ran to the passenger side of the car and reassured her she was not alone and help was coming. Afterwards, I asked her if she knew the Lord and is so at that moment ask Him to forgive her of anything not right and hold her hand right now to be with her. I told her I could not get to her but God was with her and to keep talking to Him. I asked everyone to just say positive things to keep her calm. I repeatedly told her she was not alone and went over scriptures and prayers until we were told to go to our cars because EMS was there. She was blinking more and appeared to try to open her eyes at times. I really feel she knew she was not alone and God was there to care for her in ways we could not. I will never forget her face and the time I shared with her. I just want her family and friends to know in a critical situation your loved one was encountered by strangers that gave love, prayers and respect to her as we were all family. I may never get to meet you but I will never forget her.

My deepest condolences to the Goodwin family. I never met Mr Ronald, but Ms Chandra always lit up when she spoke of Him and her son. I pray they find peace and comfort during this difficult time.
