OPELOUSAS – Funeral service will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA for Ms. Janice Marie Gailes, 72, who entered eternal rest on Sunday, December 25, 2022 at her residence in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be in Garden of Memory Cemetery in Opelousas, LA.

Rev. Vickie Keys will be officiating the funeral service.

Ms. Gailes leaves to cherish her memories: her two sons, Gavin (Gloria) Gailes and Derrick Gailes (Angela), both of Houston, TX; two sisters, Joyce Milburn (Curley) and Theresa Thompson, both of Opelousas, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Ms. Gailes is preceded in death by: her mother, Anna August; two brothers, James August and Warren August; and her brother-in-law, Wadie Thompson.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home.
