Obituary For Kevin Hairston

Kevin Lee Hairston, affectionately known as β€œFighter”, was born to the late Dealie Hairston and Booker T. Washington in Harrisburg, PA. He was educated in the Harrisburg School district and was a member at the Inner Circle Church Of Faith and Love, Pastored by his aunt, Clara Hairston Elliot.

Kevin leaves to celebrate his life, his companion, Selena Davenport; his five children, Ishane, Jordan, Shayla, Isaiah and Skylar, all of Harrisburg; his maternal siblings, Marlayna Sullivan (Donald) of Kentucky, Jim T. Hairston of Harrisburg, Joe Hairston (Divia) of Harrisburg, Lashawn Hairston of Louisiana and Rickie Hairston (Jenella) of Louisiana; his paternal siblings, Booker T. Washington, Jr., Victor Washington, Ronald Washington, Karen Washington, Leona Washington and the late Elaine Johnson, all of New York; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Kevin’s life will be celebrated on Friday, January 6, 2023 at 11 a.m. in the Sanctuary of McLamb Memorial Church of the Living God, 5 N. 25th Street, Harrisburg, PA 17103 with viewing 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. and burial in Paxtang Cemetery.

COVID-19 Guidelines will be observed and mandated with face masks.
