Karissa Mone’t Price, daughter of Ruth Johnson Price and the late Elder Julius Price was born on March 2, 1979 in Orangeburg, South Carolina. She entered into eternal rest on December 22, 2022 in Gastonia, North Carolina
Karissa, graduated from Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School in 1998, Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College in 2000 and 2001 with a Certificate of Nursing Assistant and an Associates in Health Science in Medial Laboratory Office Assisting. She later graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelor of Health Science degree in Health Administration in 2019. She was employed with Atrium Health at the Lavine Cancer Institute in Charlotte, North Carolina. Karissa was raised with a strong faith and continued to worship in her faith as an adult as a member of the Park Church, Charlotte, North Carolina.
Karissa was preceded in death by her father Elder Julius Price. Maternal grandparents Mallie and Catherine Johnson. Paternal grandparents Laurie and Beulah Price.
Karissa leaves to cherish many loving memories her daughter, Malori Maxwell, of the home; mother, Ruth Johnson Price of Orangeburg, South Carolina, and Step– mother Lillie Price of Hopkins, South Carolina; sisters: Lesly Brown (Los Angeles, CA) Kali Price-Billups (Columbia, SC) and Julia Price (Orangeburg, SC); nephews: Jared Favors and Justin Billups (Athens, GA), and Carter Bowers (Orangeburg, SC); aunts, Betty Spells (Elmont, NY), Mildred Robinson (Orangeburg, SC) , Cecelia Ortiz (Hector) (Bloomfield, NJ) and Celestial (Earl) Davis (Orangeburg, SC); uncles: Timothy (Jean) Price (Washington, DC) and Daniel (Linda) Price (White Plains, MD); and a host of cousins, extended family, and co-workers.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2022, from 12:00pm – 6:00pm.
