Obituary For Betty Poston
Mrs. Betty Glenn Poston 66 of 904 Apt B Foxcroft Circle Shelby, NC transitioned peacefully on Tuesday December 13th, 2022 at Wendover Hospice in Shelby. She was born October 11th, 1956, in Cleveland County to the late Bobby Gene Glenn and Onelius Jackson Glenn. Betty, better known as “BET,” was a 1974 graduate of Shelby High School and continued her education becoming a Certified Nursing assistant.
She was very well known for serving many families caring for their loved ones for over 30 years until her health declined. She was known to keep people laughing and loved to have a good time. She enjoyed playing cards, hanging out with her friends and family, watching football and basketball ,and enjoyed life.
Betty was preceded in death by her father Bobby gene Glenn, her mother Onelius Jackson Glenn, two sisters Evelynia Glenn Scott and Thelma Darlene Littlejohn, two brothers Gregory Glenn and Robert Lee Boykins.
She leaves to cherish her memories to her husband of 30 years Kennth Wayne Poston, two daughters Kimberly Brown of Shelby NC and Brooke Watkins of Lawndale NC, 2 grandchildren Serenity and Kendrick Brantley of Lawndale NC 3 brothers Joe Glenn (Brenda), Donald Glenn (Lillian), Robert Glenn (Trina) of Shelby NC, 2 sisters Linda Huskey of Shelby NC, Dianne Brown (David) of Boiling Springs NC, her Stepmother Lena Mae Glenn of Boiling Springs NC, Mother and Father-n-law Virgil Poston (Dorothy) of Shelby NC 4 sister-n-laws Lisa Poston and Donita Poston of Shelby, Miranda Poston of Waco NC and Evonne Surratt(Larry) of Shelby NC and Brother-n-law Bryant Poston of Charlotte NC, and [.host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family members and friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday December 20th 2022 at Shiloh Baptist Church quiet hour from 12-1 funeral starts at 1. The family will receive friends at 1204 Gidney St Shelby NC.
