My heartfelt prayers are with the family of Ms. Florida Lusk. She was a colleague of my late father, A.H. Moody and my aunt, LaVerne Y. Lindsey. My family and I will forever be grateful for her kindness during my father's battle with cancer. She was a faithful visitor during his chemotherapy treatments in Meridian. Over the course of 3 years she never missed visiting and offering her support. My mother, Mirian Lindsey Moody, and I found great comfort in her warm, calm, and loving presence. Rest in peace, Ms. Lusk, you will be missed. Angela Moody

My warmest wishes of condolence to the family of Miss Lusk, as she was affectionately called. She was a dear friend of my Aunt Margaret Montgomery, who was a school principal in Holmes County. As a child, I wasn't clear on where she lived, but I always remembered her beautiful handwriting on envelopes arriving at my home. We kept in touch by phone, and I will miss her sweet voice. Rest in peace my previous friend Ora Reed Mississippi Cultural Ambassador
