He attended the public school in Attala County, Mississippi. Gabby confessed to Christ at an early age and united with Barlow Methodist Church.
He was united in holy matrimony to Daisy Lee Evans Gilmore on April 13, 1959. This union was blessed with two step-children and four children.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Henry Harmon, and a step-daughter, Jessie Mae Luckett.
He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife, Daisy Lee Harmon of Sallis, MS; a step-son, Alvin Gilmore of Kosciusko, MS; a son, Michael (Sheryl) Harmon, of Wichita, KS; three daughters, Mary (James) Greer of Sallis, MS; Betty (Toney) Roby of Durant, MS; Brenda (Johnny) Dumas of Shelby, MS; and three devoted grandsons, Mark (Dorothy) Gilmore and Terry Luckett all of Kosciusko, MS; Tommy Luckett of Duluth, GA; one brother, James (Bessie) Harmon of Sallis, MS; one sister, Ella Mae Lee of Detroit, MI; twenty-one grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren; one devoted aunt, Maude Perteet of Sallis, MS; five sisters-in-laws, three brothers-in-laws; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
