Obituary For Mother Evangelist Louise Dowdy Patterson

Mother Evangelist Louise D. Patterson, 84 slipped away in her masters arms Sunday, November 20, 2022 at her home.

The family will receive friends Thursday December 1,2022 for a visitation from 9:00am to 6:45pm with a local service to follow at 7:00pm. There will be another public viewing Friday December 2, 2022 from 8:00am -9:45am with a National Homegoing service to follow at 10:00am

All services will be held at Temple of Deliverance COGIC 369 G.E Patterson Memphis,TN 38126

Internment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave Memphis, TN 38119

Patterson, and together as one in ministry. Mother Patterson was a jewel, filled with the Holy Spirit, an example of humility, grace and beauty (inwardly and outwardly). She genuinely knew how to show and share the love of Christ to anyone she came in contact with. She led by example. Countless women have looked to her for guidance and wise counsel. Oh how I will miss her. I never knew her personally, but her TV presence left an impression on my heart that I will never forget. Mother Patterson, affectionately known as, Queen Louise, sleep on and take your rest. One day, we will together be caught up to meet Him (Jesus Christ) and live eternally. I remember the Sunday night teachings from Sis Lou on how to dress, act as young women of God. I loved loved that. We would be upstairs and the men would be downstairs with Bishop. They were always imparting wisdom and knowledge into the church. She and Bishop would travel on the bus with us on the trips out of town. They were just that kind of leaders. I always watched Bishop Patterson with my grandmother on Sunday afternoons when she was still living. I was so amazed at his ministry that I decided to write Mother Patterson a letter and send it to her from Raleigh, NC. Not too long after I received a call from Mother Patterson. I was so delighted that someone of such great stature would take the time out of her schedule to thank me for the letter, but also share how proud she was of me as a young minister starting out in ministry. I will never forget that conversation and her words of encouragement. My prayers are with her family, church family, national family, and all those that loved this great woman of God.
