Momma I know you are in a better place now without all the pain you endured. You was a warrior queen and you gave me strength and made me who I am today. I'm going to miss our phone calls and laughing at the silly conversations we had. I love you so much and you will forever be in my heart. Love you and miss you like crazy. Rhonda

Oh the memories that we all shared! She was my second mom and don't anyone think for a minute she wouldn't take off her shoe and make me walk the line. She had the most contagious laugh. She never saw a stranger and everyone that met her loved her. I have a childhood full of memories and there's not one that stands out more in my mind except the time Mamie gave my Caucasian mom a African American persons perm and it made her hair fall out straight from the root. She didn't loose it all but it certainly took forever to grow back. I want to start by telling my beautiful sisters, Vonda,Rhonda,Tasha,Cynthia and Latisha that I am here and I'm feeling your shattered and heavy hearts tonight. She's no longer suffering and fighting a battle that she couldn't win. I love you all and hope you trust in the Lord's plan. I pray for the Lord to give you strength, peace and understanding to lay her to rest and to wrap his loving arms around you now and for the rest of your life. I'm here for whatever you need me to do. Mamie you will be missed and will always have a spot in my heart. We love you!

My heart goes out to the Parker family in the days to come as they lay their sweet Mother to rest. I can't help but think of her & smile she sure liked to enjoy herself & I was a nervous wreck at my own wedding reception but I enjoyed watching her have such a wonderful time with her daughters it made my day that they brought her. I will always treasure that memory.Rest up Miss Lady!
