Geneva Horne Covington was born December 17, 1953, to the late Tom Cottonham and Bernice Knotts Horne in Anson County, North Carolina. She fell asleep in death on Saturday, October 15, 2022.
Geneva was united in marriage to George Covington until they divorced.
Geneva actively attended worship services at Divine Unity.
Geneva was preceded in death by her parents, Tom Cottonham and Bernice Horne, her brother, Richard Knotts and her sister, Norma Powell.
We who are left to honor and cherish her wonderful memories are two brothers, James (Carrie) Horne of Charlotte, North Carolina and Lee Thomas Horne of Polkton, North Carolina; four sisters, Josephine White of Tucker, Georgia, Pauline Michael of Polkton, North Carolina, Patricia (Jerry) Harris of Lilesville, North Carolina, Heneretha Scott of Charlotte, North Carolina; two uncles, Fred (Betty) Knotts of Polkton, North Carolina and Risdon Knotts of Charlotte, North Carolina; a special friend, Emma Sinclair; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
The Homegoing Services will be on Sunday, October 23, 2022, 1:00pm, Smith's Memorial Chapel, 604 Salisbury Street, Wadesboro, North Carolina. Interment will be private.
The Horne Family will greet family and friends on Sunday, October 23, 2022 from 12:30-1:-00pm at Smith's Memorial Chapel.
The public viewing will be on Saturday, October 22, 2022 from 4:15-6:00pm at Smithβs Funeral Home.
