May God bless the Franklin family during this season of grief. A life well-lived will be celebrated today. Psalm 90:10 says: "The days of our years are threescore years and ten, Or even by reason of strength fourscore years." Mr. Franklin saw 99 years on this side of heaven. He blessed so many, and I pray that the grief of each family member will one day be replaced with memories of the joy he shared for nearly a century. May God cradle each one of you in His loving arms. With love - Fausto & Alesia

"Who is like a wise man? And who knows the interpretation of a thing? A man's wisdom makes his face shine, And the [a]sternness of his face is changed." Ecclesiastes 8:1 I consider Mr. John Wesley Franklin as one who demonstrated wisdom and faithfulness to the very end of life on this earth. I may have met him, briefly, in 1983 when I was stationed at Fort Gordan, GA and joined, as an associate lay member, the Williams Memorial CME, the Rev. Gene Dean, pastor. But, I truly came to know him in the last 3 years as the faithful "Dean" on the CME Connectional Ministry Prayer Line. Many mornings I would hear his prayers in each of the 4 hours of the prayer ministry from the EST, CST, MST, and PST zones. His words of wisdom, through prayer, were always, touching. Just to hear his voice come on the line, at age 97, 98 and then 99 was an inspiration! Truly, his voice will be missed. On the other hand, as Paul states to the church at Corinth, we are confident to be absent from the body is to be present with the LORD. Therefore, I offer condolences to the family. I pray for their confidence to be at peace and, for the Holy Spirit to give the wisdom and strength required to continue through the days ahead. "So I commended enjoyment, because a man has nothing better under the sun than to eat, drink, and be merry; for this will remain with him in his labor all the days of his life which God gives him under the sun." Ecclesiastes 8:15

Corrected: Mr Franklin was my family's neighbor for over 55 years or more. He was by far the best neighbor ever, we developed more of a kinship. My parents loved the Franklins and and he was always a GOD fearing man and THE BEST NEIGHBOR EVER. He had a spunk and suave about him to the end , he truly LOVED his family and most definitely Mrs Franklin "Bill". He will be missed but know that he is most definitely with our savior God without a doubt. Jackie, Mateen and Olivia my sisters and brother, God be with you and know that the DAGGETT's love you all and cherish our relationship. Love you always Raoul you brother.

Mr. Franklin was truly a good man. When I visited my other home Church of Williams Memorial CME where my Uncle Alvin and Margie Terrell were life members, I would see Mr. Franklin taking pictures at Church Services as he was an avid Photographer. My sincere condolences are offered to The Family of Mr. John Wesley Franklin. Clifford W. Terrell
