Beverly Rudd Griffin, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, entered eternal rest early Sunday morning on October 9, 2022. Beverly was born August 26, 1928 to the late Daniel Rudd and Bertha Richardson Rudd in Brown Summit, North Carolina.
She was educated in the Guilford County School System and attended NC A & T State University. For many years she was a home maker and later was employed as a cafeteria worker in the Guilford County School System (Peeler School).
Beverly was joined in holy matrimony to the love of her life, Nathaniel W. Griffin, on March 25, 1951. From that union four children were born. Soon after marrying Nathaniel, she joined the New Light Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Shelton G. Griffies. Beverly was an active member of the Missionaries, Food Committee, and the Mother’s Board until her health began to decline.
In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her husband: Nathaniel W. Griffin of sixty-one years; five sisters: Mary Alice Hunter, Inez Smith, Frances Bower, Mary Bower, Diane Doggett; and two brothers: Joseph Rudd, and Robert Bowers.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories three daughters: Annette, Barbara and Faye Griffin; one son: William N. Griffin; one grandson: Brandon Griffin; one great-grandson: Quadir A. Griffin all of Greensboro; and a host of relatives, and friends.
