It is so hard to believe that my nephew, Joe, is gone. My condolences and love are with all of my family who are grieving this loss, but especially with his children and grandchildren who were truly the lights of his life. Over the last several years, Joe has called me several times a week just to check in on me and to chat for a bit. I'm really going to miss Joe, his calls, and his updates on how you all were doing. As much as I will miss him, I know your loss is even greater. I'm sure that you know how much he loved you and I hope that you'll take comfort in knowing that not even death can end that love. Joe will always be with you in memory and in your hearts. Lavera Ellison

To all of my Hyman Cousins. We are deeply saddened by the passing of Joseph, Jo Jo as we fondly called him when we were growing up. He was such as proud and kind man who loved his kid and family. He always greeted you with a smile and often when leaving said "God Bless". You all have plenty of memories of him, so when you are feeling sad, hold on to the memories of happy times you had with him. May he now Rest in Eternal Peace. Your Henry family, Don Jr., Earlene, MADLYN, Debra and Yvette send their love and deepest condolences. God Bless Always

Betty and family, Joe and I have been friends since childhood, I can never remember a time when I was ever in his company that Joe was not in a jovial mood. Joe was always ready to talk about his love for Jesus, you, and his family. May the presence of our Heavenly Father surround you with His perfect peace, comfort, and everlasting love. God will strengthen each of you day by day. Dr. Marion Bell Hill, New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Havelock, N.C.
