Mr. Kenneth Phillips Sr. was born August 08, 1958, in Brooks County, Georgia, and raised by Annie Mae “Doll” Vickers (deceased). He was the son of the late George Travis Sr. and Mattie Lee “Mary Ann” Freeman (Carl) also of Brooks County, Georgia. Kenneth departed his earthly life at Haven – Suwannee Valley Hospice Care Facility on October 1, 2022.
He attended and graduated from Brooks County High School in 1976. Upon graduation, Kenneth joined the military, serving 20 years in the United States Army. He also worked at Lowes Distribution for 10-plus years. Kenneth loved his family and cherished his children and grandchildren.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his significant other Catherine “Cat” Murphy of Valdosta, GA. He also leaves to cherish his memories, his beloved children; Nitra Suber (Derek), Valdosta, Ga, Kimberly Phillips (Owen), Valdosta, Ga, Kenneth Phillips Jr (Ivana), McDonough, Ga, Michael Phillips (Felisha), Valdosta, Ga; 31 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
Kenneth’s siblings include Rickey Travis (Akeisha), Quitman, GA, Terri Goodbread (John), Jacksonville, Fl, Tammy Travis (Frank), Jacksonville, FL, Jerome Travis (Stephanie), Quitman, GA, Jarvis Travis (Dorothy), Quitman, GA, Dewayne Travis, Quitman, GA, Tilda Mae Davis, Quitman, GA, Verna Davis (deceased), Quitman, GA, Armerdean F Sears (Johnny), Quitman, GA, Michael Edwards Travis (deceased), Quitman, GA, George Travis Jr (deceased), Stephanie Christian (Gary), Quitman, GA, Angela Travis, Valdosta, GA, and Sharon Travis, Valdosta, GA; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, October 7, 2022 at the Stevens-McGhee Chapel from 2PM-7PM.

The GREATEST MAN N MY HERO ALWAYS WAS THERE WHEN I NEEDED HIM. I never saw any wrong in him and he always made sure we had anything we needed. He also taught me how to be a respectful man ,so it's been hard without him being here. Just gone miss being able to go see him and sit and talk to him.
