Danyell R. Granger 46, better known as Yogi went home to be with the Lord, on October 5, 2022. Yogi viewing will be on October 14, 2022, from 5 pm to 7 pm, at Steele- Bullock Funeral Home 3950 Turnpike Rd Portsmouth Va.23701, and service on October 15, 2022, at 12 noon at GreaterMt Zion C.O.G.I.C 3100 Deep Creek Blvd Portsmouth Va. 23704 Please keep the Granger and Joyner families in your prayers.

My heart goes out to the Granger Family. Even though we did not keep in touch, Yogi has had a special place in my life. For his mother was my first cousin, Cookie. Cookie's father was my mother's brother. My cousin and I, not knowing the tragedy that was about to come upon us, were talking today about Yogi's birth. You see Yogi was born two days before my son, Anthony Hoskins. And when I was able to walk, I went to his mother's room, down the hall from mine. She was furious because of the pain and I was mad because of how long it took Anthony to come. That was a remember moment for me and my cousin, because we shared the births of our sons in the same hospital only steps away. My prayers are with the family and Yogi's son Danny. Love Anthony and Denise. So many memories!
